Mokume Gane translates loosely to "wood grain metal." Several metals are layered together in this most labor intensive process to achieve the ‘wood grain’ effect. Color and pattern combinations are practically infinite. The Mokume styles shown in our collection have been designated as the most beautiful and popular by the artist.
