History

September 22, 1986: The first day of business for Steve Quick Jeweler. We started at 5 N. Wabash with three showcases, a safe and 280 square feet. After quickly outgrowing the original space and the Jeweler's Row mindset, the store moved to Lincoln Park. In the late 1980's, Steve Quick was commissioned by Macy's to conduct Estate Jewelry trunk shows, which he continued to do for four years. In the 1990's, the Steve Quick Jeweler brand of customer service caught on and business boomed. We built our reputation on completing custom design projects that others did not want to attempt, and also fixing pieces that other less talented jewelers got wrong. In 1994, Steve Quick Jeweler was one of the first businesses to sell diamonds via the internet, and our web site DiamondSource.com was one of the most visited diamond sites for it's time.

2008: Twenty-two years later, Steve Quick Jeweler is still selling diamonds and jewelry via the internet. The Steve Quick name has become synonymous with quality and originality. Our highly creative staff is thoroughly experienced and can custom create a new one-of-a-kind piece or recycle something you already own.
